Rumi Chunara is an Associate Professor at NYU with appointments in Computer Science and Engineering and Biostatistics. Her research focuses on developing computational and statistical approaches for acquiring, integrating and using data to improve population-level public health. She received an NSF CAREER Award in 2019.
Juliana Freire is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Data Science at New York University. She is an Institute Professor and one of the co-directors of the VIDA Center. Her research interests are in large-scale data analysis, web data management, and computational reproducibility. She was elected an AAAS Fellow in 2022.
Guido Gerig is an Institute Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on development of novel imaging analysis methodologies related to segmentation, shape analysis, and image statistics. His work is multidisciplinary, primarily collaborating with experts in clinical imaging on research in areas including schizophrenia, autism, and multiple sclerosis.
Chinmay Hegde is an Associate Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research interests span machine learning, signal processing, and high-dimensional statistics.

Christopher Musco is an Assistant Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on algorithms for machine learning and data science, with emphasis on randomized numerical linear algebra.
Claudio Silva is an Institute Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Data Science at New York University. He is one of the co-directors of the VIDA Center. His research focuses on visualization, graphics, and urban computing. He was named an ACM Fellow in 2023 for contributions to visualization, geometry processing, and urban computing.
Julia Stoyanovich is an Institute Associate Professor at NYU. Her research focuses on responsible data science, including fairness, accountability, and transparency in data-driven decision making. She leads research on algorithmic fairness and responsible data management.
Enrico Bertini is an Associate Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on visual analytics, information visualization, and human-computer interaction. He is particularly interested in developing visualization methods that help people make sense of complex data and make better decisions.
Erdem Varol is an Assistant Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on machine learning and its applications to neuroimaging and biomedical data analysis.

Aécio Santos is a Research Engineer at the VIDA Center. His research focuses on data discovery, web crawling, and sketching methods for correlated dataset search. He received the Deborah Rosenthal, MD Award in 2022 for outstanding performance on the PhD qualifying examination.

Neel Dey completed his Ph.D. at the VIDA Center in 2022. He received the Pearl Brownstein Doctoral Research Award and the Deborah Rosenthal Award. His research focused on medical image analysis and deep learning, with papers at NeurIPS and MICCAI.

Fernando Chirigati completed his Ph.D. at the VIDA Center. He is a core developer of ReproZip and author of papers on computational reproducibility and data management including "ReproZip: Computational Reproducibility With Ease" and "Data Polygamy".
